Visa information

To help understand what type of visa you are eligible for you can use the Australian Government's Visa Wizard.

Student Visa

To apply for a Student Visa you must obtain an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE). This is issued to you after we receive payment of your fees. For information on visas for students you can visit the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) website. 

Students from Assessment Level 4 should not pay tuition fees until they have received notification from the Australian Embassy that their enrolment can proceed. You must allow enough time to apply for your Student Visa.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship requires that students on a Student Visa attend at least 80% of the classes, or a Student Visa may be cancelled or not renewed.

Non-Student Visa

Maximum number of weeks you can study:

No eCoE is necessary if you are applying for a non-student visa.

Australian Address

When you start your course please complete the ELICOS Student Address Details form (DOC 472K) with your current Australian address and telephone number so we can contact you in an emergency. If you change your address, you must give a new form to GELI reception staff within seven days.

If you are on a Student visa this is a requirement of your visa. This information may be made available to Commonwealth and State Government agencies.
