You must complete the Academic version of the test. However, the results from this version of the test can be used for all purposes.

When can I take the test?

Within three (3) months before or after graduation.

You may take IELTS on any test date offering the Academic version of the test providing it is three months before or after your expected graduation date.

Please note that tests fill quickly and are usually booked up several months ahead. You are advised to book well in advance.

Where can I take IELTS4grads?

IELTS4grads can only be taken at the Griffith test centre. No other centres participate in this program.

How do I apply for IELTS4grads?

Candidates apply for the IELTS test in the normal way but must provide official documantation of graduation status at time of application (this can be obtained from the Griffith Portal or from Student Services).

Alternatively, if you do not have proof of graduation at time of application, you can apply and pay in full and submit a reimbursement request after the test once you have the correct documantation.
You may apply for your reimbursement as soon as you have the documents required (see below) and up to six months from the date of the test. You must provide your IELTS Test Report Form (original or notarised copy).
Come in person to the IELTS test centre reception during office hours with the two documents required (see above).
Complete the reimbursement application form (including your bank account details) and the IELTS4grads survey questionnaire.
You will normally receive your partial reimbursement by cheque or into your nominated bank account in Australia in 6-8 weeks

Each person will be eligible for partial reimbursement of one test only.
