Program Information

The GAET programs (GAET and GAET PLUS) provide current and future aviation professionals with a flexible and industry-specific training opportunity to develop their English language skills.

While GAET can be used by any aviation industry professional, GAET PLUS is solely intended for pilots and air traffic controllers to improve their language proficiency so that they can confidently sit for anICAO- compliant language proficiency test.

Experienced Team

Since 2004, Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) has provided on-shore and off-shore aviation English training. Our students include trainees and current employees of the aviation industry including:

• Pilots
• Air traffic controllers
• Licensed aircraft maintenance engineers
• Airport managers
• Flight attendants

These students have been from local flying schools, air force high schools in the United Arab Emirates, the Alteon MPL cadet program, Vladivostok Air, Qatar Aeronautical College and Narita Airport Corporation.

Our Aviation English program is proudly supported by the Griffith School of Aviation whose graduates and current students work in organisations such as Qantas, United Airlines, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Royal Brunei, Thai Ariways,Cathay Pacific and Emirates. Other graduates and students work in the defence forces of several countries including Australia and Singapore.

Our staff have operational experience as air traffic controllers or pilots and have extensive experience in teaching English as a foreign language.
