To create the best learning environment for our students studying our English language courses, we aim to provide the very best in teaching, learning and recreational facilities.

Independent Learning Centre

Each GELI centre has an Independent Learning Centre (ILC) where students can undertake additional English language practice before and after scheduled class times. These are dedicated facilities where guided independent learning can take place with the help and supervision of GELI staff.

ILC facilities include:

• New computers with high-speed internet access
• iPads with language learning apps
• IELTS Practice Test materials
• Flat screen TV and subtitled movies
• Grammar and vocabulary textbooks
• Newspapers, magazines and graded readers
• English as a Second Language (ESL) software
• Podcasts, lecture slides and study apps

Classroom technology

GELI is a state-of-art learning facility and all of our classrooms are equipped with the latest information and communication technologies. We provide a learning environment that mixes the very latest in online and mobile learning with traditional face-to-face teaching.

Classroom facilities include:

Additional GELI Facilities 

• international student advisers - to assist students settle into life in Australia
• weekly bookclub - where students practice their reading and speaking skills
• activities officers - organise social activities for students to make friends and practice English

Griffith University Facilities

As GELI is a part of Griffith University, all GELI students have the added benefit of having access to the full range of Griffith University facilities.

Griffith University facilities include:
